2025: A community in motion (Community blog)

2025 was the year agentic automation became a clear direction. The new kid on the block became everyone's teammate – agentic AI got explored and expanded by almost all professionals curious to grow further in their career and to understand what’s next in the tech world. Many functions and parts of the enterprise showed the same curiosity, so for us in the UiPath Community it was a year of accelerated discovery and transition.

With a focus on orchestrating long-running, end-to-end business workflows that involve a combination of AI agents, robots, and humans in the loop, and with an urge to build agents, the spotlight was on UiPath Maestro and UiPath Agent Builder in Studio.

Maybe we are biased, given that we get to connect with the ones who are at the forefront of their domain and who are not doing just the bare minimum. We meet and interact with the brave ones who challenge how things get done, who learn and discover new approaches and technologies, and who are open to sharing those insights with others. Product releases get them excited, and there’s always a new use case or workflow maximizing the capabilities of the UiPath Platform.

What excited the UiPath Community in 2025

  • Hackathons, challenges, and opportunities to showcase agentic use cases. Our AgentHack global competition brought together a record number of participants and use cases: 400+ projects from 50 countries. The quality of the winning solutions got attention, and we ensured spotlight for them at FUSION events hosted in Las Vegas, Munich, Dubai or in cities across India. Check out the winning solutions.

  • We expanded this effort through additional competitions hosted by us and by partner communities with a shared mission to build skills at scale. Together with Test Tribe, Hack2Skill, and major student campuses across India, we ran agentic automation competitions that brought 16,000 curious learners into the challenge experience. The latest was the Coded Agents challenge on our UiPath Forum that brought innovative use cases that are shaping the future of agentic use cases. Check out the use cases that got the eye of the product leaders at UiPath.

  • In-person gatherings were the norm. From DevCon (Bangalore) to DevConnect, Austin and San Francisco, plus many Community Days across the world, in Hyderabad, Bangalore, Istanbul, Singapore, Sydney, Hong Kong, San Francisco, New York, Tokyo, Munich, Porto, Amsterdam, São Paulo, Berlin, Pune, Phoenix, and more, we hosted 70+ community gatherings together with you and we took those awesome pictures that get posted on LinkedIn.

  • The Chapter Leaders who drive the local communities, the experts who are speakers, the volunteers that welcome you, and all the Community Managers are the ones who deserve all the credit for what gets to unfold in a day of learning and connection. From digital to in-person, all the experiences have a place and are the opening door for someone on their next professional adventure. What makes them go above and beyond? On the one hand, the passion for technology and then on the other, it is the magic of people - people who show up, even when the weather is awful, and the couch is more inviting.

  • Agentic Accelerators Bootcamps were a new strategic opportunity that invited key players that are adopting agentic automation and got the chance to push the needle further in innovating with UiPath technology.

  • One unique experience that took our community to the next level of connection and true global presence was our first-ever Global MVP Summit. Hosted in Istanbul, this community gathering was an opportunity like never before to be together as a group of 120+ experts and envision the UiPath Platform, understand the roadmap ahead and cross-collaborate for the growth of the community. Tune in to this video that will connect you to what we got to experience back then in June.

  • With so much new technology available, of course, the year was meant for upskilling into agentic automation. As UiPath we ensured free and discounted opportunities for getting certified in all the available certifications, but as expected, the most wanted one was the one dedicated to agentic automation. The UiPath Community Certification Framework ensured more than 12,000 professionals and students got access to getting certified, and 1,200 are already certified. A larger number will continue to take the exam and study through the programs and opportunities that we offer as part of the Certification and UiPath Academy.

  • Our chapters made a difference in the life of many groups or localized communities: the veterans’ program, the Women in Agentic Automation, the LATAM Dream to Succeed learning sessions, the learning sessions in Arabic or the localized DevCon in Tokyo, each builds an entire ecosystem for the people attending and are connected to the bigger picture of the UiPath ecosystem.

  • We learned about the latest trends in automation with the help of the 6th report on State of the Agentic Automation Professional. The automations professionals are transitioning at high speed to the new skills required for agentic orchestration and coding agents, with an increase of 30% in Python usage and skill. Out of 1,400+ professionals and learners who responded, 67% of automation professionals feel confident in designing, deploying or managing agentic workflows. Two thirds are already well-qualified and have professional certifications in their hands.

  • If you missed some important sessions, we always have the UiPath Community YouTube channel at your disposal to enjoy use cases, demos, and sessions that were hosted on a different time-zone than yours. The agentic automation video series was a good opportunity to summarize the learnings and how-to's. Some of the themes covered: UiPath Maestro and agentic orchestration, building smart, low-code agents with UiPath Agent Builder and LangChain integration. And always to keep things top of mind, there is the UiPath Agents, Bits and Bots newsletter that brings you all the latest developments and news in the agentic automation space.

Some stats that we get to see and can be fun for you as well to know about them:

  • The series that showed the highest registration ever: Transition to Agentic Automation Patshala with Nisarg Kadam hosting this effort of 1,700 attendees.

  • The first-ever event, Global MVP Summit was hosted in Istanbul, Turkey for all MVPs around the world, coming from 30+ countries.

  • The meetup that was hosted on the highest floor was in: New York.

  • The highest number of solutions on the Forum were offered by Ashok Karale and Anil Gorthi.

  • ‌ Community event, which brought the most beautiful celebration of culture and tradition while learning about UiPath technology: Kochi's meetup, for Onam.

  • The meetup that was hosted despite the difficult weather: Porto. The meetup that was rescheduled given a cyclone: Brisbane. We learned the lesson; we will keep an eye on the weather in 2026 😊

There is much more that the UiPath Community has explored and achieved, and we want to showcase a few testimonials from some community members about their journey and perspective on agentic automation:

Agentic AI changed how I approach automation: 2025 was about giving systems autonomy, context and voice (literally). UiPath made it possible to orchestrate multimodal agents that reason, act, and integrate safely with enterprise workflows. UiPath Community accelerated these through real conversations, real builders, and real impact. Russel Alfeche – Technology Leader Automation, qBotica

The biggest transformation I experienced in 2025 was moving from building bots to designing agentic outcomes - the Community’s tutorials ,events, demos, and workshops made it possible. 2025 stood out because the community served as a clear learning roadmap. Mukesh Kala – Hyper Automation Practice Head, BoundaryLess

2025 was transformative! Exploring how Agentic AI reshapes industries through UiPath has been a highlight. Partnering with Neo4j to demonstrate the MCP use case provided immense real-world value. Inspiring the next generation of leaders at meetups and various colleges further solidified my commitment to driving the future of intelligent automation. Pranav Kashyap – Agentic AI Practitioner, WonderBotz

2025 was a breakthrough year: agentic automation and AI reshaped how I approach automation. The UiPath Community played a key role by giving me the space to experiment, deepen my expertise through meaningful exchanges with others, and build confidence along the way. Clarisse Badiou – Automation Consultant, Hardis Tech Services

In 2026 is the year of the Builder persona in the UiPath ecosystem. We encourage the participation of developers and professionals around the world to craft the agentic solutions that they need with the use of UiPath technology—for coding agents or to ensure solutions at scale with the right governance in place, there is a seat at the UiPath Community table.

We are excited for the year ahead, and we continue to welcome those who are ready to accelerate the adoption of agentic automation — builders, developers, professionals in automation, or curious learners who want to upskill in a dedicated agentic automation community.
