As a Product Engagement Manager your mission is to measure the level of product engagement and identify ways to increase it.
Your main responsibility is to identify product usage metrics, analyze them and find ways to encourage more users to engage with the product.
This requires a lot of different skills. You need to be comfortable to work with data, but at the same time you need to be empathetic, and able to put yourself in your users’ shoes. You need to be a creative problem solver, and have a thorough understanding of both product knowledge and user psychology.
