Import Contacts to Salesforce from CSV or Excel File




This sample import contacts from a CSV/Excel file into Saleforce.

Steps to automate

  1. Read the Csv/Excel file.
  2. Open the website.
  3. Log in.
  4. Click "Contacts".
  5. Click "New".
  6. Enter contact data from csv.
  7. Click "Save&New".
  8. Repeat step 6 and 7.


  1. Read the Csv/Excel file using "Read CSV"/"Read Cell Range" activity.
  2. Open a Record Web sequence and do the following steps.
  3. Type in the Url field: http://www.salesforce.com/
  4. Click "Log In" button.
  5. Type Username and Password.
  6. Click "Log in to Salesforce" button.
  7. Click "Contacts".
  8. Click "New".
  9. Now the following activities must be placed into a "For Each Row" activity but after you finish the recording sequence.
  10. Type into "First Name" field.
  11. Type Into "Last Name" field.
  12. Type into "Account name" field.
  13. Click "Save&New".
  14. Press Esc to close the Record Web activity.
