  • UiPath Delegate is the productivity agent built for the enterprise. It acts under your direction on the real machine, working across the apps, browsers, and business systems your teams already use, on Windows and macOS. Delegate completes administrative and role-specific work end to end, and leaves behind a governed, reusable routine the whole team can rerun.

  • You give Delegate a task in plain language, and Delegate takes it from there. You can describe the task in a prompt, give a voice command, or record yourself doing it once so Delegate can learn from the demonstration.

    Delegate plans the steps, uses the tools it needs, and shows every action as it happens, so you can follow along, correct, or stop it at any point. 

    Once a task is complete, you can save it as a reusable routine that runs the same way next time. For a detailed walkthrough, see the product documentation.

  • Delegate can connect to business systems in two main ways:

    • Integration Service connectors provide managed, authenticated connections to popular applications like Outlook, Gmail, Google Workspace, Slack, Microsoft Teams, Jira, Confluence, GitHub, and Salesforce.

    • MCP (Model Context Protocol) servers connect Delegate to custom or internal tools. MCP servers can be remote (URL-based) or local (running on your machine).

    Delegate also includes best-in-class computer use capabilities, so it can interact with any application through the user interface, including legacy systems, desktop apps, and other tools where a direct connection isn’t available.

  • Delegate is installed through the shared UiPath Studio, Assistant, and Robot installer, available from the Customer Portal or Automation Cloud.

    During installation, select Robot as a component, plus Extensions (recommended since several Delegate capabilities rely on them). Once installed, sign in to your UiPath organization and select your tenant. Once connected and licensed, you can switch between Assistant, Delegate, and Cartographer from the application's title bar.
