Zero-copy context for AI agents

Your enterprise context is distributed across multiple platforms and systems of record. Getting that context to an agent is where things break. Those breaks end with zero-copy.

Zero-copy context for AI agents

Your enterprise context is distributed across multiple platforms and systems of record. Getting that context to an agent is where things break. Those breaks end with zero-copy.

Zero-copy connectivity gives agents live enterprise context without copying data

Federated entities in UiPath Data Fabric give agents visibility into data from supported enterprise platforms and systems in near real time, without duplicating the underlying data from Snowflake, Databricks, or other data systems.

Zero-copy

Visibility into data in near real time. No replication, no movement into UiPath.

Federated entities

Connected business objects with the relationships agents reason over.

Governed

RBAC, lineage, and policy consistent across every automation actor.

UiPath Data Fabric works directly with the platforms and systems your enterprise already uses, giving agents and orchestration governed, zero-copy context from where business data lives.

How it works

One federated entity model, ready for agents and workflows. Data Fabric reads enterprise data in near real time, models it as reusable federated entities with the relationships agents need, and delivers governed context across the UiPath Platform.

Enterprise data

Snowflake, Databricks, SAP, Salesforce, ServiceNow, databases and systems of record

UiPath Data Fabric

Zero-copy, federated entities, governed

UiPath orchestration

Agents, Maestro, apps and workflows, automations

Reusable across the platform

Model context once. Reuse it everywhere. Once the context is in Data Fabric, the same federated entities feed every surface, so UiPath orchestration works off fresher, more complete context every time.

Agents

Grounded reasoning. Agents reason over connected business entities, not flat API responses.

Maestro

Long-running processes. Orchestrate cases and workflows with live or near-real-time entity context and persistent state.

Apps

Data-rich applications. Build dashboards and apps on reusable entity models.

Workflows

Consistent automation. Skip rebuilding integrations. Automations act on the same governed context.

Coding agents on UiPath

On Data Fabric, your coding agent of choice discovers, generates, and optimizes reusable federated entities, analyzing systems and schemas, then building and extending models as workflows scale.

What zero-copy context unlocks

Across customer service, finance, supply chain, and industry workflows, agents get the relevant context the moment they need it.

CUSTOMER SERVICE

Live or near-real-time customer context, end to end

Agents see profile, cases, orders, entitlements, invoices, and history across CRM, support, ERP, and data platforms, without copying data into UiPath.

FINANCE & ACCOUNTING

Connected invoice and vendor context

Connect invoice, PO, vendor, payment, and approval data across ERP and finance systems for faster reconciliation and approvals.

SUPPLY CHAIN

Live or near-real-time inventory and shipment view

Coordinate inventory, orders, shipments, warehouse, and supplier data across operational systems, with connected entity context.

IT

Unified ticket and asset context

Unify ticket, asset, identity, device, HR, and policy context so agents resolve requests with the full picture.

INDUSTRY WORKFLOWS

Multi-system process orchestration

Claims, prior auth, lending, compliance, and onboarding, orchestrated with context that spans the systems that run the business.

Frequently asked questions

  • Zero-copy data access lets agents and automations work with live enterprise data where it already lives, across databases, data warehouses, and SaaS systems, without replicating, moving, or copying it.

In UiPath Data Fabric it delivers governed context in near real time instead of stale pipeline copies.

This is the enterprise-data meaning of zero copy. It is different from the systems-programming sense used for zero-copy I/O in networking and memory, and different from database cloning such as a zero-copy clone.

  • ETL and replication copy data on a schedule, so agents can end up reasoning over data that is already out of date.

Zero-copy data access uses data virtualization to read source systems directly, so there is no pipeline to build and no duplicate to reconcile.

Zero-ETL reduces movement between warehouses. Zero copy in Data Fabric federates live context across many systems, beyond warehouse-to-warehouse movement.

  • Agents can reach the platforms and systems your enterprise already runs, including Snowflake, Databricks, SAP, Salesforce, and ServiceNow, plus other databases, data warehouses, and business applications.

Connectivity runs on UiPath Integration Service, so the same governed connections are reused across systems rather than rebuilt for each one.

  • Federated entities give live, zero-copy access. The data stays in the source system and is read in near real time.

Native entities persist data in Data Fabric when a workflow needs a durable store. The distinction is deliberate: federated access is zero-copy, and native entities store data by design when durability matters.

  • Access stays governed at the source. Data Fabric applies role-based access control, lineage, and audit consistently, so every agent, robot, workflow, and app acts within the same policy.

Because data does not move into UiPath to be secured separately, control stays where the data lives.
