UiPath, the leading AI and Robotic Process Automation (RPA) software company, announces today the appointment of Gavin Jackson as Senior Vice President and Managing Director EMEA. The hire is set to accelerate the adoption of RPA across the globe within enterprises and public sector organisations, realising the company’s mission to accelerate human performance, through a robot for every person.
Gavin joins UiPath from Amazon Web Service (AWS) where he served as Managing Director for UK and EU countries, leading the teams and implementing strategic initiatives that helped customers benefit from the Cloud-First era. Prior to AWS, Gavin held executive roles in other leading technology companies, including VMware, where he served as Vice President EMEA, and various positions at EMC.
Gavin graduated from Cranfield Business School and IMD School of Management and is an alumnus of the Harvard Business School, where he majored in business finance.
According to Gartner, $2.6 trillion of business value will be created as a result of augmented intelligence, where robots and humans collaborate to remove the undifferentiated heavy lifting of mundane, repetitive tasks and make more time for higher-value innovation. It’s made possible by UiPath’s leading AI-powered Enterprise RPA platform and by empowering employees to profoundly increase productivity, efficiency and business value. An active supporter of diversity in technology, he strongly believes that a diverse and inclusive team delivers better results.
Gavin Jackson, SVP and Managing Director at UiPath, comments:
Accelerating human achievement through technology and changing the future of work forever is an exciting and lofty mission. I’m inspired by the thousands of customers and partners of every shape and size already on their Automation First journey. They are the pioneers inspiring thousands more. I’m proud to join a company that is culturally open and taking responsibility for enabling people to this new paradigm, through free access to UiPath Academy and the free community edition of UiPath’s software platform. I am starting my UiPath journey with the conviction that our vision to accelerate human achievement profoundly binds us to a purpose bigger than ourselves.
Daniel Dines, CEO and Co-Founder of UiPath, adds:
I am happy to have Gavin join our senior team to further focus our commitment to stay customer centric and provide them with a best-in-its-class AI-powered RPA platform. He is a perfect fit with our grand mission, that of reshaping society and the future of work with automation.
