Daniel Dines, Founder and CEO of UiPath, the leading Robotic Process Automation (RPA) software company, is invited to the Elysée Palace in Paris for the second gathering of the presidential initiative Tech For Good.
Ahead of the most significant tech event in France, VIVA TECHNOLOGY 2019, President Emmanuel Macron hosts the Tech for Good Summit, bringing together the CEOs of the world's largest technology companies. This year the summit is strongly focused on how new technologies can have a positive impact on our societies and economies.
Dines is participating in a workshop on the future of work, a central topic for UiPath, a pioneer of the digital revolution that is transforming the business workplace. Led by Dara Khosrowshahi, CEO of Uber, and Stéphane Richard, CEO of Orange, this workshop aims to promote lifelong learning via technology platforms and to create a think tank to share information between companies.
Placed at the forefront of the Automation First era, UiPath advocates one software robot for every person, making digital workers as common as personal computers in the workplace and liberating employees from mundane repetitive tasks in order to devote their time to higher value activities.
Dines will talk about the company’s dedication to helping current and future employees keep up to date with emerging technologies and adapt to the digital transformation of businesses with the UiPath Academic Alliance. In France, UiPath is committed to training more than 100,000 students in the next three years through free RPA training modules, and setting up partnerships with Universities and Grandes Ecoles Françaises.
Prior to the summit, UiPath co-signed the "Increase Women in Leadership" commitment, pledging to continue its efforts to reach 30% of women in leadership positions by 2022 (double the 15% average in the technology sector).
UiPath will also be at the heart of the future of work debate while participating for the second year in a row at VIVA TECHNOLOGY from May 16 to 18. At this event, Daniel Dines will speak twice to share the company’s vision on the future of work.
Daniel Dines will be joined by Megan O'Connor (CLARK), Yan Hascoet (KAPTEN) and Guillaume Bregeras (LES ECHOS) for the opening session of the startup track: "From Founder to Leading CEO", sharing his personal experience of leading a former Romanian start-up to its current position among the several European unicorn companies. Thursday 16/05 at 9:40am, Startup Stage.
Later that day, Dines will participate in the session "The Truth About Scaling Up in the European Market", along with Sabina Wizander (KRY) and Mike Butcher (TECHCRUNCH). They will discuss topics such as how startups can succeed in the European "single market" and what the Member States and the European Union can do to assist tech startups in view of competition from the United States and China. Thursday 16/05 at 3:20pm, Stage-X.
Also on the first day of VIVA TECHNOLOGY 2019, from 11am to 12:30pm, Daniel Dines will be joining French President Emmanuel Macron and four other European startup leaders for a roundtable discussion on the key priorities for the technology ecosystem, such as investments and R&D. Thursday 16/05 at 11:00am, Stage One (Main Stage).
Daniel Dines said:
Our company is at the forefront of one of the most innovative software categories, and for me is a product of the European Union, of its roots and its values. It is very important for UiPath to participate at VivaTech in France, at the core of the European technological ecosystem. It allows us to continue to influence the workplace that we see emerging with automation - putting people back at the heart of every company’s core purpose.
In a technology landscape led by the United States and China, Viva Technology 2019 has a special focus on the place and role of Europe in technology. Born in 2004 in Romania, UiPath is now one of the 30 European unicorns.
