UiPath Sponsors Women in IT Awards 2020 to Deepen Commitment for Gender Equality in Tech

January 28, 2020

UiPath, the leading Robotic Process Automation (RPA) enterprise software company, is sponsoring this year’s Women in IT Awards London as part of its commitment to tackling inequality in the tech industry. The event, to be held on January 29 at the Grosvenor House Hotel, is dedicated to showcasing the achievements and contributions of women in technology, identifying new role models and promoting dialogue around diversity among industry influencers.

As a leader and major employer in the enterprise software sector, UiPath is committed to addressing gender imbalance in technology, and empowering women working in the industry to reach their full potential.

Acting upon its vision, UiPath took part last year in French President Emmanuel Macron’s Tech for Good Summit and co-signed the ‘Increase Women in Leadership’ pledge, a commitment to continue efforts to reach 30% of women in leadership positions across the company over the next two years (double than the 15% average in tech).

Women in IT Awards London 2020 is organized by business-technology magazine Information Age in partnership with Amazon Web Services. The competition has received hundreds of applications for its 20 categories. The nominations are reviewed by an independent panel of judges, who then vote the winners for each category.

UiPath sponsor s the Employer of the Year Award, which will be presented at the Gala by UiPath’s SVP and Managing Director for EMEA Gavin Jackson, who said:

“I joined UiPath with the clear knowledge that the company is not only the leader of the RPA market and one of the main players in the AI space, but also a culturally open and inclusive workplace. Since its early days, UiPath has put at its core the commitment to empower people regardless of their background, race, social status, age or gender to reach their potential. It has made its technology free via the UiPath Academy and the free community edition of the UiPath software platform to people from all walks of life. I am proud to be working alongside and learn from some of the brightest minds in the tech sector and happy to be part of this leading event celebrating women’s impact on the tech sector.”
