Interns of UiPath: Five Interns Describe their Experience with UiPath

This year was not a lot different from 2020. In India, just like our employees, the interns experienced UiPath during the 12-week program from the comfort of their home. We talked with some of them and talked about their journey with UiPath.

Nishank Siddharth, Kshitij Sharma, Aayush Arora, Abhishek Kumar, and Akshaj Bansal all found out about UiPath from their universities. Ownership is something familiar at UiPath. And so is during the internship program, when all the interns join different teams to work on features or products.

"I was part of the Action-Center team, and my project was to add a feature for ‘Bulk Complete.’ The feature allowed users to select multiple tasks at once and feed common data and with a single-click on the button.” Abhishek used .NET and Angular for his projects. “My manager and mentors were very supportive. It was a great opportunity for me to work on such a huge project.”

Kshitij was also part of the Action-Center team. "I worked on three different projects. Two of them were based on .NET and C#, and one was on Angular. I also had to write some queries for SQL and developed APIs.” Kshitij is glad he chose UiPath for his summer internship, during which he had two mentors. “I am  grateful that they explain things to us patiently even after they have so much work to do. This internship also boosted my confidence in talking to others. I really liked the work culture.”

Akshaj feels like he had a great experience with UiPath. “I was part of the Service Fabric team. Most of the time I made changes in backend and frontend. I also created a React form from JSON schema for generating a configuration file.”

Considering the pandemic context, Aayush believes the overall experience of his internship was very engaging and rewarding. “It was great to interact with such a welcoming crowd. We had a smooth onboarding process and a few wonderful weeks. I feel like I learned a lot. I appreciate the efforts made by everyone to increase informal interactions. We had informal sync up every Monday and a weekly call was also scheduled where we interacted with other interns. To sum it up, it was great.” He was part of the Business-Apps team and worked on the end-to-end establishment of a message broker for the product.

Nishank was part of the UiPath Apps Team. His project was to build a document service that will do costly operations like uploading or downloading on the client-side to make serverless content delivery. “I got to learn TypeScript, Angular, and Azure Services by working on this project. It was a great opportunity to be working as a software engineer intern at UiPath. I got so much exposure to development and deployments. The internship was well-structured, and fun.”

We want our interns to contribute to emerging technologies and work in a fast-paced environment. And we aim to bring in students who are hungry for hands-on work and are not afraid of failing forward.
