Release Cycles and Support Model

Release Cycles and Support Model applicable to UiPath RPA Platform versions 2019.4 (2019 Fast Track) and 2018.4

All capitalized terms not otherwise defined here will have the meaning specified in the agreement entered into by UiPath and Customer for the licensing of the UiPath RPA Platform (the “Agreement”).

Release Cycles

UiPath issues Fast Track Support (FTS) and Long Term Support (LTS) versions of the UiPath RPA Platform, which are described as follows:

  • LTS versions include product features requiring fewer *updates over a longer product lifetime.
  • FTS versions include new features that may undergo future changes based on feedback or as otherwise decided by UiPath. FTS versions give the Customer access to the latest features issued by UiPath. Customer needs to upgrade the UiPath RPA Platform more often in order to continue receiving support.

For each released version UiPath delivers cumulative updates, in accordance with the Support Model as described below.

Support Model

UiPath Support Model consists of two support periods for each released version as follows:

Support Type Mainstream Support Extended Support
FTS  6 months from the release date 6 months from the end of Mainstream Support
LTS  24 months from the release date 12 months from the end of Mainstream Support

**Mainstream Support

Mainstream Support consists of maintenance and support and includes responses to, diagnosis and rectification of Incidents and Service Requests as well as provision of applicable Improvements (including development work and quality assurance) as described in UiPath Support Terms. Once the Mainstream Support period ends, UiPath will offer only Extended Support. Customer is required to update the UiPath RPA Platform in order to continue receiving Mainstream Support.

**Fixes that imply database changes will be done exclusively on the latest released version.

Extended Support

Extended Support consists of responses to, diagnosis and rectification of Incidents and Service Request as described in UiPath Support Terms. Improvements (including development work and quality assurance) are no longer delivered during the Extended Support period. Once the Extended Support period ends, support will no longer be provided. Customer is required to update the UiPath RPA Platform in order to continue receiving support.

End of Support

After the above periods of time elapse (1 year for FTS and 3 years for LTS), UiPath will continue to answer all questions pertaining to the respective versions on a best-effort-only due to consequent product enhancements and potential resolutions added in newer releases. A version upgrade may be required in order to ensure a proper troubleshooting process depending on the nature of the issue reported or question asked.

Once migrated to the latest version, the Customer will receive the applicable support for that version.

End of Support is reflected on the Product Lifecycle page on the UiPath website.

Other considerations

  • *Updates are cumulative, with each update built upon all of the updates that preceded it. Updates may include new features, fixes (security and/or non-security), or a combination of both. UiPath does not guarantee that all updates will work on all devices. Update availability or applicability may vary depending on conditions, for example by country, region, network connectivity, or hardware capabilities.
  • Any released version which is under UiPath support in accordance with UiPath Support Terms and Licensing Models will be designated as either FTS or LTS version, published on the Product Lifecycle page at the moment of the release.
  • UiPath delivers one LTS version release per year.
  • UiPath guarantees backwards compatibility between two consecutive released versions. Breaking changes, if any, will be reflected in a compatibility matrix published at the moment of the release.
  • If backwards compatibility between 2 consecutive LTS versions cannot be guaranteed, UiPath may assist Customer in the migration process.
  • UiPath does not guarantee forward compatibility.
