Announcing the UiPath Student Developer Program

We hold the power of tomorrow.

What we see and experience today is the result of the toil and hard work of our predecessors. And what we do today will be the cornerstone for the generations to come, so we have to do it right.

Ever since humans started settling down in communities, the focus has shifted from just making a living to living comfortably, and the advent of the wheel is a notable example of this. Considerable efforts and thoughts are being put into simplifying human efforts by automating it through machines then and software robots now. From computers, washing machines, vacuum cleaners, and the latest self-driven cars to delivery through drones and smart assistants, the core focus has been on automation.

As civilizations grew, technologies developed, and human horizons expanded, the need for more efficient and faster solutions has spiked. According to a report by Statista Research Department, the process automation segment is expected to exceed $83 billion in 2021. This speaks to the huge demand and opportunity in this segment.

UiPath is on a mission to enable everyone to learn automation skills for the future by offering free automation education via UiPath Academy. Our vision to have ‘a robot for every person™’ can be achieved sooner when we start with a robot for every student.

Through the UiPath Student Developer Program, we aim to empower and upskill student communities with the most sought-after robotic process automation (RPA) skills. Along with learning technology, students will also get an opportunity to network and hone their leadership skills. This program complements and builds on our Academic Alliance Program, further strengthening our core mission.

The UiPath Student Developer Program revolves around UiPath student champions. UiPath student champions are self-motivated, enthusiastic, and multitasking student leaders who lead the UiPath Student Developer communities on their campus. These champions will be guided, mentored, and trained on our RPA tools and will be empowered to take this knowledge to the larger student community.

This year, we are kickstarting this program with selected campuses in the Asia Pacific Region (India, Australia, Singapore, Indonesia, Bangladesh, Nepal, Sri Lanka or the Philippines) with an aim to expand to other regions soon.

We are committed to building a strong community of students equipped with RPA tools and making them ready to build the future!
