APIs: Key to both integration and automation

apis-integration-and-automation

APIs are so prevalent, so ingrained in enterprise systems and software communications, that we contented users forget they exist. And that’s fine. Let application-building gurus worry about APIs.

But automation developers need to know all about APIs and how to deploy them across automations. Gartner suggests as much, forecasting that by 2026, “95% of RPA vendors will have enhanced their API integration capabilities in order to offer both UI scraping and API-first automation approaches to their customers”.¹

APIs are on the “Connector Corner” menu for February 6

Join us for “Connect to your workflow processes with Integration Service and API automation”. Unlike our opening Connector Corner presentations and demos in 2023, where we spotlighted one special prebuilt connector at a time, this live interactive webinar will focus on API based connectors across the Connector Catalog. We’ll discuss our usual commercial enterprise connectors, and also what’s new in Gen AI. There will be as well as some exciting news regarding prebuilt, IT automation connectors.

But we’ll also survey the core capabilities and functions unique to UiPath Integration Service.

Giving developers increased integration options

We’re happy to present the new HTTP Webhook Connector, now in public preview. Benefits include the ability to trigger automations from outside the UiPath Platform, or directly from vendor applications. Developers can easily request HTTPs and set up near-real-time events by subscribing and listening to various application activities.

Anatomy of a connector

Integration Service Connectors provide flexible event-triggers, increasing efficiency by responding to key business and application changes to activate next workflow steps. Curated activities or operations improve productivity. Curation empowers citizen developers and semi-technical users by providing easily understood activity labels. Free of unfamiliar technical jargon, curated activities simplify automation connectivity.

This Community webinar also provides the time to take a closer look at pre-Studio capabilities as provided by UiPath Integration Service. Fore example, each connector shares a centralized and simplified way of authenticating and authorizing usage across different protocols, such as Oau. Once authorized, users can easily create or modify connections to multiple systems.

Connector Builder for Integration Service

We’ll demonstrate the API-based Connector Builder, and how easy it is to build your own custom connector for the system your automation requires.

Please register here for our 10:00 am EST session, or 3:00 pm GMT, both on February 6.
